A Collaborative Approach to Business - Bradley Dam

The EMEA Recruitment podcast recently welcomed Bradley Dam, the Finance Director: ZBB and Cost Management at Takeda, as a guest.

“What’s really motivated me to take those chances is that feeling of accomplishment when you do take a risk and it pays off, or you achieve something that you didn’t expect to achieve.”

In his 25 years’ work experience across four different countries, Bradley has driven business growth through a collaborative style of relationships. At the large companies that he’s worked at, such as Takeda and Unilever, Bradley has found that this approach allows processes to flow and gets teams to a decision that everyone has bought into.

Bradley is qualified through CIMA, who we recently partnered on a virtual event with, having worked in Management Accounting, Finance Management, commercial category Finance roles, and Supply Chain.  

Although Bradley has a good general oversight of Finance functions, he believes that it’s important to have people across different streams and that you don’t need to be an expert in everything.

Our Founder, Paul Toms, also asked Bradley what pushes him out of his comfort zone and how he stays motivated. He explained how he went from being a shy teenager to giving presentations in front of hundreds of people – it’s important advice for anyone struggling with confidence in their career.
