We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Procurement Manager Packaging & Logistics to join our Manufacturing client and lead their EMEA regional spend within this category.

This role is based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland but we can also consider applicants open to being based in Germany, France, Belgium, Italy or the UK.

Key responsibilities as Regional Procurement Manager Packaging & Logistics include:

• Drive Procurement activities and strategies to deliver upon wider business objectives
• Showcase Category strategy and development specifically in the Packaging and Logistics categories
• Work with Logistics providers and manage supplier selection of 4PL, Warehousing, Transportation, and Distribution
• Contribute to Procurement optimisation projects and take Procurement within the business to \'the next level\'
• Manage spend of circa EUR100M and bring cost savings through optimised Procurement methods - operate within the organisation in a truly business partnering approach

The ideal candidate profile:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in an Engineering or Supply Chain related discipline
• Have 5+ years experience in Procurement, with a focus on category management in Indirects - specifically Logistics & Packaging
• Hold technical knowledge of packaging used in niche Manufacturing industries such as Chemicals and Materials
• Have previously worked either regionally or globally in a multi-national organisation
• Fluent in English, any other language would be an advantage

You will lead their European-focused spend, weighting towards Direct Materials used in the Automotive, Manufacturing, and Machinery production sectors.

Key responsibilities as Procurement Manager Machine Parts & Indirects include:

• Drive Procurement solutions by showcasing technical understanding of Machinery
• Take an engineering-driven approach and manage purchasing of Raw Materials such as Castings, Metals, Steel, Engine Parts, and broader materials used in industrial vehicle manufacturing
• Pick up Indirect spend coverage, with a focus on MRO, Utilities, Temporary Labour, and Freight
• Showcase Procurement expertise and understanding of market factors related to materials used in vehicle manufacturing
• Contribute to Procurement optimization projects and take Procurement within the business to the next level
• Bring cost savings through optimized Procurement methods - operate within the organization in a business partnering approach
• Lead a team covering Project Procurement and Strategic Sourcing

The ideal candidate profile:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in an Engineering or Supply Chain-related discipline
• Have 10+ years\' experience in Procurement, with a focus on category management in Direct materials related to Machinery manufacturing (Indirect exposure would also be an advantage)
• Hold technical knowledge of materials used in automotive and industrial manufacturing industries
• Have previously worked either regionally or globally in a multi-national organization
• Fluent in English, German would be beneficial but not essential
