Kate loves to keep fit, regularly enjoying CrossFit and its community aspects.

She also enjoys travelling and tries to travel as much as possible, having visited places such as Bali, Vietnam, Italy, Portugal, France, and Iceland. Kate previously lived in France for 5 years, spending the winters managing a nightclub in a French ski resort, and she loves to ski and snowboard.

She regularly spends time with a brilliant group of friends and is very close to her family. Kate adores her five-year-old apricot Cockapoo named Lola. Lola is her constant companion, accompanying her everywhere, and over the years, Kate has trained her to be the best pub dog!

Cooking is another activity she enjoys, using it as a form of therapy by mellowing out with music and cooking up a storm.

Responsibilities of Payroll Specialist:
  • Responsibility for the monthly payroll of c.500 employee
  • Business Partner to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintenance of the payroll system ensuring all employee information is up to date and correct
  • Manual calculation of payroll data such as overtime, tax deductions and bonuses
  • Ensuring the payroll is perfect before sending it for processing to the external vendor
  • Able to answer all payroll queries

The successful candidate will have:
  • Attention to detail
  • Quick action in problem-solving
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable building relationships and partnering with external vendors
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience managing payroll for a similar headcount
  • Comfortable communicating in English
  • Ability to commute to Amsterdam

This role is paying c60,000 euros (including holiday allowance) + additional benefits.

This role is based onsite three days a week, with two days from home. You will be responsible for the HR support to 300 employees based in the Netherlands, partnering closely with an extended EMEA HRBP team of three with the support of an additional admin function.

Responsibilities of HR Business Partner:
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders, coaching and influencing when needed
  • Keep up to date with ER processes and Dutch labour law
  • Manage HR projects locally and focus on both operation and strategic function needs
  • Ensure all HR systems are up to date
  • Review all HR processes and policies and make sure they are fit for purpose
  • Involvement in HR projects such as a Europe-wide L&D system overhaul and Tech, AI and system updates to ensure they are at the forefront of technology

Skills & Experience required:
  • A retail industry background or exposure to the sector in your career
  • Have around 5 years of HRBP level experience
