Business Controller - \'s-Hertogenbosch area

EMEA Recruitment is proudly working with a global logistics business in its search for a Business Controller to join its ever-growing Finance team.

As a member of the site management team, you\'ll play a considerable role in the drive and development of various business opportunities. You\'ll interact with multiple stakeholders within this key role, both locally and globally. 
 
Hybrid working is available, however, due to the nature of the role, site presence will be required for a minimum of three days a week.
 
The main duties of the Business Controller are:
  • Planning & Control cycle of the site which includes a long-term plan, budget, latest view and month-end reporting; understanding and explaining the story behind the numbers is key
  • In conjunction with the Financial Controller; prepare and analyse monthly results and present the outcome to local, regional and global management
  • Participate in business improvement projects with a strong focus on productivity, cost reduction and materialising commercial opportunities
  • Extensive analysis of financial and operational data for determining past financial performance and to identify risks and opportunities
  • Participation in commercial cycles and opportunities of the site
  • Review, approval, support and tracking of spend of capital expenditures related to the site
  • Participate in various regional and global initiatives

The skills required for the Business Controller position:
  • Master degree in Finance or Economics is preferred
  • 6-10 years of experience as a Business Controller
  • Fluent in English and an understanding of the Dutch language
  • Experience with IFRS
  • Experience in SAP, BPC and Qlik would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office
