Supplier Development Manager

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is recruiting for a dynamic Supplier Development Manager to join a leading manufacturing company in Zurich during an exciting period of growth.

Reporting to the Global Head of Category & Supplier Development, you will be instrumental in driving supplier performance improvements within the casting/foundry category.

Along with hybrid working, this role incorporates 25% travel to global suppliers. 

Key responsibilities of the Supplier Development Manager include:

• Lead and manage supplier development projects, including technical and quality audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development and improvement initiatives
• Oversee trial orders from new suppliers, ensuring a smooth transition to operational procurement
• Identify and implement performance improvement measures with both new and existing suppliers
• Ensure effective management of supplier data, inspections, and performance monitoring

Your Profile:

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Strong background in supplier development, with hands-on experience in complex projects
• Knowledge of castings/iron & steel 
• Experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, Engineering
• Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in German is advantageous
