Job Description

In collaboration with our client, we are searching for a Procurement Project Manager to be based at their office north of Zurich. This is a newly created role to add value to the wider Supplier Development & Procurement function and enhance the delivery of various projects.

Key responsibilities of the Procurement Project Manager include:
  • Act as a Project Manager within Procurement to manage the implementation of projects
  • Coordinate with Supplier Development and Category Management teams to ensure, procurement deliverables and targets are on track
  • Develop Category initiatives, managing them in a Program and Project capacity
  • Showcase Procurement understanding and market drivers to contribute to delivering projects related to growth, savings, and new product introduction
  • Bring best-in-class procurement principles to the business and apply them in a Project capacity

Candidate profile:
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in an Engineering or Supply Chain related discipline
  • Proven track record in Project Management AND a Procurement or Purchasing function
  • A Project Management or Program Management qualification such as PMP would be preferred
  • Experience in leading teams and individuals in a Project capacity
  • Fluent in English, German fluency would be an advantage
