Logistics Buyer

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is seeking a Logistics Buyer in collaboration with our client, a consumer goods business with offices in Zurich.

As a Logistics Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing both strategic and operational purchasing activity within the Logistics category area.

The role requires a candidate with fluency in English & German.

Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Buyer:

• Coordinate and oversee the logistics process, from procurement to distribution
• Manage Procurement activity for the local and regional market with a focus on the Road freight area within the Logistics category
• Optimize Supply Chain & Procurement operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Work closely with the Logistics and wider Supply Chain team to deliver cost savings and provide best-in-class solutions
• Collaborate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely performance
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to logistics and supply chain

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Fluency in English & German is essential
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
