Interim IT Sourcing Manager

Job Description

My client, a global business in the retail sector, seeks a Sourcing Manager with IT Category experience for an interim/fixed-term period of 6 months, starting in September 2024. You will assist in managing the strategic procurement of all IT hardware and software globally.

As Sourcing Manager IT, you will support senior internal stakeholders at a country, regional and global level across the business to ensure all user needs are met. Your role will focus on securing efficient and advanced software and hardware solutions to provide a competitive edge for the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced buyer or category manager to expand their horizons in a truly global role (with a significant operating presence across all continents), strategically managing a variety of key indirect service categories.

Therefore, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator able to positively engage multi-national teams, internal stakeholders and suppliers.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level
• Confident in dealing with large IT providers – especially software suppliers
• Ideally, 4+ years of experience within Indirect Procurement at a strategic level
• Experience in dealing directly with suppliers – confident in sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier delivery
• High level of PC literacy and familiarity with digital Procurement tools
• Fluent English is essential - other languages are beneficial
