Senior Accounting Manager

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a dynamic and globally recognised company in the services sector to find a Senior Accounting Manager. This position is based in Zug with hybrid flexibility.

In this role, you will oversee accounting activities for the group, managing entities in Switzerland, France, Germany, the UK, and the USA. You will lead the accounting team, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAPs.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Manager:

• Manage the monthly financial close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and report preparation
• Supervise and support a team of General Accountants and Accounts Payable staff
• Develop and oversee cash flow planning strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP
• Lead financial projects, including ERP upgrades and implementation
• Assist with tax return preparation and ensure timely submissions
• Support the Head of Finance with reporting and operational tasks
• Drive initiatives to improve accounting policies, processes, and system efficiency

Candidate Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting/Auditing, with at least 5 years in a similar managerial role
• IFRS and local GAAP
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and reporting systems
• Proven ability to work in an international, fast-paced environment.
