Project Accounting Specialist

EMEA Recruitment is helping a well-established company in its search for a Project Accounting Specialist to join the Zug office.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This includes maintaining project accounting records, analyzing financial data, and providing guidance on contract-related accounting matters.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and evolving business, where you will work closely with global teams in finance, commercial, and R&D functions to support strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Key responsibilities of the Project Accounting Specialist:

• Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP FER and tax regulations
• Support contract review processes, providing accounting guidance on asset ownership, warranty handling, and project-related financials
• Act as a key point of contact for project accounting matters, collaborating with commercial and R&D teams
• Assess and improve accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial data management and internal control adherence

Your profile:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum five years of experience in Acounting, with a strong focus on project accounting (PoC)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret contracts and financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a dynamic environment
