Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is partnering with our client, an esteemed and well-regarded multi-national business in the pharma manufacturing industry, in its search for an Operations Controller.  

We seek a highly driven professional to lead initiatives to improve the cost of goods sold (COGS), enhance process automation, and implement best practices for operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities of the Operations Controller:
  • Lead and manage the financial operations of six manufacturing sites, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Analyze and monitor COGS, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Develop and implement cost control measures and best practices to optimize manufacturing costs
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis, reports, and forecasts to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance utilization and productivity
  • Collaborate with site controllers and operations teams to identify and resolve inefficiencies
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and technology enhancements to improve operational efficiency
  • Manage and mentor a team of site controllers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Required experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in financial management within a manufacturing environment, preferably with multi-site responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting
  • Proven track record in driving cost improvements and operational efficiency
