Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is partnering with an esteemed and well-regarded multi-national business in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in its search for a Head of Group Accounting.

We are looking for a highly driven professional with multi-national experience to support the integrity of financial reporting, enhance operational efficiency, and assist with strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Group Accounting:
  • Lead and manage the Group Accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple international entities
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with various departments
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local tax regulations
  • Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing
  • Coordinate and manage annual external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors
  • Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Continuously evaluate and optimise the ERP system to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities

Required experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable
  • Big 4 background beneficial
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and international tax regulations
  • Strong ERP system implementation and management experience
