Procurement Specialist - Pharma Packaging

Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Thurgau, Switzerland is seeking a talented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in procurement and negotiation at a local site level, and be fluent in both English and German.

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
• Analyse market trends to identify potential new suppliers
• Collaborate with internal departments, including production and finance, to forecast demand
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Fluent in both German and English is essential
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
