Temporary Head of Accounting New

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a well-established luxury company, searching for a Temporary Head of Accounting to join their Zug office (immediate start, circa six months).

The successful candidate will oversee the company’s Accounting function, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, managing financial reporting, and driving key projects to improve operational efficiency during this interim period.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and globally focused business, supporting its continued growth while providing leadership to the Finance team.

Key responsibilities of the Temporary Head of Accounting:

• Oversee and manage the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting in compliance with IFRS standards
• Provide strategic guidance on Accounting processes, driving improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risks
• Lead the preparation of financial statements and coordinate with auditors to ensure successful completion of audits
• Support cross-functional teams with financial insights to aid decision making and strategic initiatives

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in Financial Accounting, with a strong understanding of IFRS
• Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, international environment
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with analytics tools
