Job Description

Our client, a rapidly expanding business in the FMCG sector, is seeking a Director of Procurement Excellence for its European hub in Lucerne. This role is crucial for advancing the company's strategic growth plans across EMEA and other regions.

The Director of Procurement Excellence will be tasked with developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies, best practices and process improvements to optimize procurement activities, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Reporting directly to the CPO, the successful candidate will streamline procurement processes, ensuring they adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Selecting, implementing, and managing procurement technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Leading category management initiatives and optimization strategies, including market analysis and supplier negotiations within specific procurement categories

We seek high-calibre candidates for the Director of Procurement Excellence role with the following qualifications/experience:
  • Ideally, 10+ years of experience managing procurement processes and activities within the FMCG industry
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices
  • Experience in building a team from the ground up
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
