EMEA Recruitment is supporting a global FMCG leader seeking a Category Manager to drive strategic procurement of primary and secondary packaging.
In this role, you will define category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with local teams to ensure effective sourcing, cost optimisation, and compliance.
You’ll be the bridge between local business needs and supply markets, driving initiatives that add value across the region.
Key responsibilities of the Category Manager:
- Develop and implement regional packaging strategies, coordinating with local teams
- Lead sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
- Serve as a key point of contact for local stakeholder management and problem-solving, including claim handling and quality issue resolution
- Provide insights on total cost of ownership and drive continuous improvement
We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:
- Degree educated, with 5+ years in strategic procurement, ideally in packaging
- Strong analytical skills, contract management experience, and proven supplier relationship management
- Fluent in English; willing to travel up to 15% across Europe
