Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a well-established global manufacturing company. We are searching for a Director of Tax to join the Stockholm office.


The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the company’s tax strategy. You'll establishing effective controls and processes to ensure compliance and support various international tax activities to drive the organization’s goals.


This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a diverse, collaborative environment, based in the company’s global headquarters. The position provides exposure to a variety of tax areas, involvement in international business, and the chance to work with colleagues across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities of the Director of Tax:

  • Oversee the group’s global tax structure, focusing on digital and streamlined solutions for efficiency and compliance
  • Support corporate tax compliance for evolving business activities, ensuring adherence to best practices
  • Lead the group’s tax accounting and manage the effective tax rate, playing a crucial role in financial reporting
  • Guide M&A transactions from a tax perspective and coordinate with other teams on related analysis and follow-up actions

Your profile:

  • Degree in Law or Finance
  • Strong background in international tax and tax management, with a particular strength in corporate tax compliance
  • Proven experience with tax accounting, including managing complex tax issues with minimal oversight
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and engage across a complex organizational structure
