EMEA Recruitment is supporting a leading global organisation in its search for a Procurement Cost Specialist to join their dynamic team in St Gallen.

In this role, you will take ownership of cost optimisation initiatives, providing detailed analyses and insights to inform decision-making and drive value across the business. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure effective cost management for a range of components and projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Cost Specialist:

  • Deliver cost estimations and analyses to support strategic decision-making
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through detailed modelling and process optimisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and opportunities
  • Engage in supplier negotiations and lead cost audits to ensure transparency
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost databases

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in cost optimisation, strategic procurement, or product development
  • Proficient in advanced analytical tools, including Microsoft Excel; PowerBI is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Background in industrial or technical environments is advantageous
  • Fluent in English and German
