Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a global manufacturing client that is experiencing sustained growth and expansion. As such, they have identified a need to add a German-speaking Operational Excellence Manager to their global Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) program who can work across manufacturing plants globally.

Key responsibilities of the Operational Excellence Manager include:
  • Be instrumental in guiding various plants on a project basis to enhance global, lean and CI improvements
  • Deploy strong analytical skills - crucially impacting the global production performances
  • Install key Operational Excellence principles – focusing on Waste Reduction, Smooth Flow Concepts, Process Reduction, Systematic Problem Solving
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager(s) to develop CI, Lean and Operational Excellence goals across various departments on site
  • Acting in an internal consultancy manner you will showcase a proactive approach to identifying improvements, build a business case and lead the respective implementation

You will bring previous experience of working closely and within operational sites, identifying improvement plans across Production, Logistics, Warehousing and the wider Manufacturing area.

As Operational Excellence Manager, we are looking for high-caliber leaders with the following skillset:
  • Educated to a degree or equivalent level in Engineering, Business Administration or Mathematics
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing environment is a strong advantage with a proven background in leading people in a Project capacity
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma and TPM initiatives is a strong advantage - focused on improving multi-site OEE performance
  • Strong analytical skills, and proven experience in using data-driven projects to influence change
  • Fluent in English & German
  • High interpersonal and problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Open to regular travel (circa 50-75%)
