EMEA Recruitment is exclusively working with a leading manufacturing business in their search to add a Senior Financial Controller to their team in the Rotterdam region.

As the Senior Financial Controller, you will lead 2 competent Accountants and report directly to the Finance Director. You will have a wider overview of finance and the business, bringing a commitment to manage and optimise financial processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Controller:

• Leading financial administration, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax obligations
• Strengthening internal controls and improving finance processes
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Managing financial systems and working with external providers
• Mentoring and developing finance team members

Experience required:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, or at a Big 4 firm
• You must hold an accounting qualification (RA/CA/CPA/ACCA etc.)
• Possess solid and up-to-date IFRS knowledge
• Have a thorough understanding of tax rules and regulations
• Fluent in English and a minimum professional level in Dutch
• Proficient in MS Office and Exact
