E-commerce Manager

€65,000-€75,000 + 20% bonus + package + hybrid working
 

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a multi-million euro e-commerce business experiencing significant growth.

As part of their strategic plan to organically increase revenues by over €30 million in the next two years, they seek an experienced E-commerce Manager or a professional in a related role, such as a Business Manager or Trading Manager, with a strong e-commerce background.

In this dynamic and forward-thinking business, you will have full P&L control and oversee all e-commerce activities related to online platforms, trading, marketing, and customer management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing an e-commerce business, be fluent in English, and be based in or able to commute to the Rotterdam area.


Your Key Accountabilities as the Ecommerce Manager:
  • Full P&L control and financial accountability for a €10m business unit
  • Manage and lead all day-to-day trading E-Commerce trading activities
  • Overall general management of the business and the team – performance, H&S and staff wellbeing (circa 15 staff)
  • Ensuring all E-Commerce activities are aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Ensuring all sales, online and customer service activities are coordinated effectively with suppliers and customers
  • Reporting on business metrics – Margin, sales, pricing, competitor pricing and customer service KPIs
  • Create, manage and control budgets such as advertising costs (Google and social media), website budgets, online platforms etc
  • Manage and lead all NPI (New Product Introductions) and product investments
  • Lead all continuous improvement projects related to customer, website and product management including improving SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

Requirements:
  • Experience as an E-commerce Manager, Business Manager, Trading Manager or related role
  • Experienced in leading and managing an e-commerce business/team
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong in planning and organisation
  • Strength of character to lead a dynamic but inexperienced team
  • The role will be 100% office-based for 6 months then Hybrid 60/40 – office/home

The client is offering the following package:
  • €65,000 - €75,000 basic
  • 8% holiday pay
  • Up to 20% bonus subject to hitting targets
  • 28 days’ vacation + public holidays
