Job Description

EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a rapidly growing, global FMCG business, seeking a Capital Management & Engineering Director who will be responsible for capital planning and management.

The Capital Management & Engineering Director will also lead initiatives to execute capital and strategic projects and build capabilities within the Operations functions.

This is a pivotal role in identifying strategic capital investment priorities, new opportunities for process improvement, implementing capital/strategic projects, and developing the skills/capabilities of the operations team to support the organization's goals and objectives.

This role is based in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Main responsibilities of the Capital Management & Engineering Director: 
  • Own the strategy & execution of the company’s CAPEX process/policies, and collaborate with senior management to develop and lead the organization's capital investment strategy activities (Aligning with business goals & financial objectives)
  • Lead intake and resource planning for Capital Strategic projects, implement robust governance frameworks, and create internal governance procedures to mitigate risks
  • Provide leadership/strategy for the development of Project Design Standards for equipment and buildings
  • Drive partnership with production sites and cross-functional leaders to ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the life-cycle of the project
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize strategic capital projects aligned with business goals, development project plans, timelines & resource requirements
  • Lead the Program Manager and Engineering teams in the planning/execution of large programs of capital and strategic projects (Development & Implementation of KPIs across both)

Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • Led the conversion of strategic business strategy into the organization’s capital investment strategy
  • 10-15 years of experience in Capital Planning, Capex Portfolio Management and Program Management
