My client, an international food and beverages business, is recruiting a Category Manager – Primary Packaging. You will support their Procurement team with sourcing a variety of packaging materials and solutions for food and beverages.As Category Manager – Primary Packaging, you will manage a variety of subcategories. We are open to applicants with experience of purchasing raw materials for packaging production or purchase of externally manufactured packaging solutions.
Experience of high interest will be flexibles, plastics, films and board products.
We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:
- Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level
- Ideally 4+ years of experience in Procurement at a strategic level
- Experience managing packaging procurement within the last 2 years, ideally within food ingredients
- Experience in the purchasing of primary packaging solutions or raw materials for primary packaging would be highly desirable
- Strong negotiator with previous experience leading key supplier negotiations
- Must have proven experience in sourcing within Europe
- Fluent English is essential – Dutch is beneficial
