Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with an international FMCG client in its search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the Netherlands, near Hoofddorp.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for reactive and preventive maintenance activities in the automated production site in Hillegom. You will be part of the Technical Department Team, and work on a two-shift pattern (6-2/2-10).


This is a great opportunity to join a global brand on one of their many manufacturing sites. We seek an individual who embraces change, as new machinery is installed and continuous improvements are made to the site.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
  • Carry out reactive and preventive maintenance on the production machines to ensure the correct operation of the machines and to ensure that the machines are always ready for use
  • Repairs of the machines (pneumatics, mechanical adjustment work, sensors, controls...)
  • Look for the cause of a defect and formulate proposals to prevent defects in the future
  • Adjust the machine park according to the guidelines of the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Upon delivery of a new machine, follow up the start-up until the first qualitative product is delivered
  • Report about the adjustments/improvements to machines
  • Participating in team meetings

Experience required:
  • Diploma at MBO technology level
  • Experience (including internships) in mechanics and electricity and a strong interest in electronics and pneumatics
  • Basic knowledge of English (ideally advanced in English); Dutch-speaking is a plus
