Business Controller

Up to €80k + holiday allowance + 10% bonus + additional benefits
 

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is proud to be working with a global logistics business in the search for a Business Controller to join its ever-growing Finance team.

As a member of the Site Management team, you'll play a considerable part in the drive and development of various business opportunities. Interacting with multiple stakeholders, you will also have a key role both locally and globally. 
 
Hybrid working is available, but due to the nature of the role, site presence will be required for a minimum of three days a week.
 
The main duties of the Business Controller are:
  • Planning & Control cycle of the site which includes a long-term plan, budget, latest view and month-end reporting; understanding and explaining the story behind the numbers is key
  • In conjunction with the Financial Controller; prepare and analyse monthly results and present the outcome to local, regional and global management
  • Participate in business improvement projects with a strong focus on productivity, cost reduction and materialising commercial opportunities
  • Extensive analysis of financial and operational data for determining past financial performance and to identify risks and opportunities
  • Participation in commercial cycles and opportunities of the site
  • Review, approval, support and tracking of spend of capital expenditures related to the site
  • Participate in various regional and global initiatives

The skills required for the Business Controller position:
  • Master degree in Finance or Economics is preferred
  • 6-10 years of experience as a Business Controller
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Experience with IFRS
  • Experience in SAP, BPC and Qlik would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office
