Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a scaling retail organisation to recruit a HR Director for its European region. 

The business is growing significantly and is constantly evolving its HR processes and practices.


The HR Director will lead a HR team and operate as a key partner to the Retail Executive Team and the District Managers, supporting the future growth and development of the business.

Responsibilities of HR Director:
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic HR initiatives
  • Ensure the adherence to local and international pay and benefits legislation
  • Build and lead a high-performing HR team
  • Advise on the implementation of compensation and benefits solutions
  • Design and refine the salary framework, lead salary benchmarking exercises
  • Lead the full cycle of performance management and remuneration review processes
  • Effectively manage employee relation issues, creating a positive working culture
  • Partner with leadership team on talent management, development and succession planning

Experience required:
  • Significant HR experience gained in a retail environment
  • International exposure
  • Able to lead and inspire a team
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch Labor Law
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize well
  • Great communicator
  • Fluent in English, fluent Dutch is a significant advantage
