EMEA Recruitment is working with a global, future leading manufacturing and technology client as they look to hire a Works Council Business Partner to join their HR team who specializes in Dutch labor law and work council relationships.

This would be an ideal role for a candidate with a qualification in that area, who can not only build relationships but also influence and carry out challenging negotiations to reach positive outcomes for the business and employees.
Responsibilities of the Works Council Business Partner:
Build and manage strong relationships with both senior leaders (including the strategic VP for the country) and work council members
Aligning with various department heads who correlate to the project in hand and lead works council negotiations
Collaborate with the HR Business Partners to understand all pending business changes, and areas of support
Coach and upskill managers and leaders on employment legislation and best practice
Collaborate with the works councils on everything from team restructures, shift pattern changes, headcount increases/reductions and contractual changes, such as benefits and incentives
Experience required:
Experience operating in a similar position – focusing on employment law, work council relationships, and business partnering
Have the intellectual ability to ask the right strategic questions to stakeholders in order to understand the business needs
Ability to push back and influence when needed to set boundaries and ensure the desired outcome from negotiations
Experience with Dutch labor law
Ability to work in an English-speaking office with the addition of Dutch being a bonus
