EMEA Recruitment is exclusively supporting a renowned international organisation with a long-standing history and global reach in their search for an Internal Audit Lead to oversee some of their more complicated and regulated entities.
The business is known for its focus on sustainability and ethical business practices, and boasts an impressive Amsterdam office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Do you have a passion for auditing and risk management? This newly created role offers the chance to lead audit projects independently, making a significant impact on business practices and compliance.
You'll be the most experienced member of the Audit team, but won't be responsible for people management (at least not initially). However, there is an ideal scenario where this person will take on team responsibilities in the future.
Key responsibilities of the Internal Audit Lead:
Develop and execute comprehensive internal audit plans for the regulated entities within the group
Conduct operational audits, identifying risks and controls, while leading audit teams
Define audit scopes, develop test plans, and report findings to senior stakeholders
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies by preparing and discussing reports
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external regulators
Continuously improve audit methodologies and contribute to the development of best practices
Your Profile:
Extensive experience in internal or external audit or risk management within highly regulated sectors, specifically asset management, private wealth management, or financial institutions, with up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks; due to the rapid evolution of compliance and regulatory standards in these industries, applicants must be currently active in one of these sectors to ensure familiarity with the latest regulatory changes
Enjoys working in a diverse, multicultural environment, with fluency in English; additional languages like Dutch or German are advantageous
Post-master's degree in Auditing, Finance, or a business-related field
Chartered accountancy or audit qualifications (e.g., ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIA)
Benefits include a competitive package with variable pay, generous holiday entitlement, and excellent office facilities, including an in-house restaurant. You’ll also have access to health insurance, a pension scheme, company-subsidised sports activities, and various other perks to support your work-life balance.
If you are looking to make an impact within a forward-thinking, sustainable company with a clear career progression path, this could be the next step in your professional journey. APPLY TODAY.
