Financial Assistant

€45,000-55,000 per annum inclusive of holiday allowance, hybrid working
 

Job Description

Our client, a global and international start up business based in Amsterdam, is seeking a Financial Assistant to support the Head of Finance on all financial administration for the company. 

Working in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business, this is a unique opportunity for a Financial Assistant to take on more responsibility and gain recognition in a company. 

This position will suit someone who is proactive and self-driven, with good social skills and a strong technical mindset.

Hybrid working (three days in the office and two days from home) is available for this position.

The main duties of the Financial Assistant are:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Process invoices, expense claims and payments accurately and timely
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements
  • Assist with external audits
  • Provide strong internal and external stakeholder management

The skills required for the Financial Assistant:

  • Fluent English and based in Amsterdam
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a multifaceted financial administration/accounting role
  • Excellent written and verbal ability
  • The ability to work independently
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
  • Dutch speaking, highly desirable
  • Sage 200 or NetSuite experience is highly desirable
