Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with our international client in its search for a Finance Manager to join their team in the Amsterdam area.  

In this role, you oversee day-to-day Accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliation processes.

The Finance Manager will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.

The successful candidate will monitor and report on the effectiveness of the compliance program to senior management and the board of directors, and plan/coordinate audit engagements, including resource allocation and scheduling.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead audit teams in performing fieldwork, including testing of controls and substantive procedures
  • Identify and communicate audit findings, including recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with Dutch laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, finance, and operations teams, to ensure alignment of compliance efforts
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other management reports for senior management and stakeholders
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to optimize financial performance
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements

Experience required:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Thorough understanding of Dutch auditing standards and regulations
  • Strong understanding of Accounting principles
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to adapt and meet deadlines
  • Fluent English
