EMEA Recruitment is working with an international transportation organisation as they look to hire a HR Director for their Belgium business.
As the HR Director, you'll lead a HR of 5, provide HR leadership for two sites, Brussels and Liege, and manage the relationships with unions and works councils.
You'll play a critical role in driving organizational change, implementing HR standards and processes, and ensuring compliance with regional requirements.
The business is performing well and there are future growth opportunities on the horizon.
Responsibilities of HR Director:
Establish an annual HR Action Plan and associated HR budget in line with HR strategy
Direct and control recruitment and selection programmes
Implement effective market-driven compensation and benefit programmes
Lead succession and talent management within the business to identify capability strengths and gaps
Implement management development initiatives and career development activities
Direct and co-ordinate works council/union relations and direct employee communications
Influence the culture and support the commitment to continued improvement
Experience required
Proven track record in HR Leadership role in a blue-collar environment
Strong industrial relations knowledge
Experience with work councils and in CLA/ CBA negotiations essential
Strong knowledge of Belgium labour laws
Financially competent
Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
