EMEA Recruitment is assisting an international tech business in hiring an Employee Relations Director for a newly created role.
The Employee Relations Director's key areas of focus include the creation of a German works council and ongoing relations and negotiations.

This role is based in Berlin, Germany.
Responsibilities of Employee Relations Director:
Keep a clear overview of all ER topics related to local work councils in Germany and HQ employee representation
Consult the works councils and employee representations to advise on business decisions
Lead negotiations with the workers council
Provide solutions to adapt the business requirements to local regulations
Ownership of all people policies concerning the workers council
Potential expansion of the role from Germany to European Workers Council ownership
Experience required:
Extensive knowledge of German labor law
HR experience including working with German work councils
Able to express complex legal topics in a clear, concise and pragmatic manner
Experience gained in a fast-moving environment
Fluent in German and English
Employment law background or legal degree
