Finance Systems Manager (SAP)

Job Description

Our client, an international organization with a growing footprint in Geneva, is seeking a Financial Systems Manager to lead master data governance and finance systems oversight.

Acting as a strategic link between Finance and IT, you’ll ensure data accuracy, system effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.

This is a pivotal role offering scope to drive continuous improvement and influence decision-making at a global level.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Systems Manager (SAP):

• Define and implement master data governance strategies, frameworks, and policies across the organization
• Lead finance systems maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders
• Oversee full lifecycle management of master data (vendors, customers, materials, GL accounts, etc.)
• Ensure systems compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g. GDPR, SOX)
• Provide finance systems support, including documentation, change management, and analytical input
• Act as finance's primary contact for system-related projects, driving prioritization and alignment with business needs

Key requirements:

• 5–7 years’ experience in data governance, financial systems, or master data management in complex organizations
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC or similar ERP platforms and MDM tools (e.g. Informatica, SAP MDG)
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Solid understanding of data quality principles, compliance, and systems integration
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business or related field (Master’s a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, analytical mindset with attention to detail
