Location: Budapest, Hungary (hybrid, 3x per week from the office)

EMEA Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading international organisation in its search for an Infrastructure Senior Architect to join their European Technology team.

This is a strategic architecture role where you will define and deliver cutting-edge infrastructure solutions to support global digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in cloud and hybrid infrastructure, with a passion for secure, scalable, and modern platform design.
 

Key responsibilities of the Infrastructure Senior Architect:

  • Develop and implement full-stack infrastructure architecture, focusing on cloud-native and hybrid solutions

  • Provide technical leadership for platform modernisation, system migrations, and M&A activities

  • Promote and embed Secure by Design and Zero Trust principles across infrastructure initiatives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD, IaC, and DevOps best practices

  • Document architecture decisions and support the transition to operational teams

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across business and technology functions


Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture or DevOps within a global environment

  • Proven track record designing secure, scalable systems across cloud and on-prem environments (Azure preferred)

  • Strong hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Ansible, and related technologies

  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows/Linux servers, and endpoint solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrix organisation

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field; Azure certification is a strong advantage

  • Fluent in English; a second European language is a plus
