Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a growing manufacturing company. We are searching for a Senior Group Accountant to join the Bern office.

The Senior Group Accountant will oversee the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements, ensuring compliance with Swiss GAAP FER, and provide expertise on group-wide accounting matters.

This position involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, advancing reporting processes and contributing to key finance topics, including transfer pricing, audits, and ERP systems.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Group Accountant:

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Act as a subject matter expert for group accounting and implement updates to accounting standards
• Drive process improvements by automating reporting and consolidation systems
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams on various financial and compliance matters

Your profile:

• Professional qualification in finance or auditing, such as Swiss CPA or Federal Certified Auditor
• Extensive experience in group accounting, consolidation, or auditing, with strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER
• Proficiency in consolidation and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Cognos)
• Fluency in German and English
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
