Location: Port of Antwerp (up to 50% remote work)Our client is a global provider of logistics services. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant on their behalf.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely closing of the accounts, delivery of accounting and tax obligations, ensuring adherence to IFRS regulations, performing financial reporting, and acting as a sparring partner for the Controlling team.
The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Oversee end-to-end accounting for multiple legal entities
- Manage accounts payable processes
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax-related reports
- Prepare annual accounts in accordance with both BGAAP and IFRS
- Handle monthly and year-end closings
- Implement IFRS regulations
- Serve as a financial point of contact for various internal departments
- A university degree in Accountancy
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations
- Proficiency in IFRS and Belgian GAAP (BGAAP)
- Fluency in both Dutch and English
