Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is delighted to work with our client, an international business within the life sciences sector, to recruit a Tax and Accounting Lead for its finance team.

As Tax and Accounting Lead, your duties will include: 
  • Focusing on accounting, taxes and financial reporting, according to German statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Take control of indirect and direct tax management, working closely with corporate tax team and local authorities
  • Financial reporting, with US GAAP and HGB GAAP
  • Strengthen internal controls, developing and monitoring in line with company standards - evaluating efficiency within accounting processes
  • Working closely with the accounting team in monthly closing activities

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Indirect tax and accounting experience
  • In-depth knowledge of German statutory requirements (HGB)
  • Some knowledge in accounting software like Hyperion
  • Strong communication skills in both English and German is required
