Group Controller

120,000-130,000 CHF + bonus
 

Job Description

My client is a mid-sized global manufacturing business with a strong market position and financial results.  Due to internal development, they are looking to hire a Group Controller for the finance team at their new Basel Headquarters.

Reporting to the Head of Group Controlling, you will work closely with areas such as HR, R&D, Supply Chain and Procurement to enhance the FP&A and controlling activities for these functions.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a group controlling role or business partnering with functions such as logistics or procurement.

As Group Controller, your responsibilities include:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS reporting for internal and external consolidated statements
  • Develop performance KPIs and conduct variance/ratio analysis for service functions (e.g., procurement, HR, R&D)
  • Manage group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning for service functions
  • Assist the Head of Group Controlling in consolidating local budgets into the group budget
  • Act as a Business Partner, providing finance decision support to the global leadership team

Skills Required:

  • Experience in group controlling or business partnering with service functions (e.g., procurement, logistics)
  • Degree in finance or related field; strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience in an international manufacturing environment; ideally skilled with SAP
  • Fluent in English, good German skills, flexible and adaptable
  • Strong communication skills
