Inventory Manager

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a leading retail business looking to add a Supply Planner to its team. This brand-new role has been created due to company growth.

The Supply Planner/Inventory Manager is pivotal in the procurement process, focusing on efficiency and ensuring the acquisition of high-quality products. Looking after a portfolio over €400million. 


For this role, strong Excel proficiency and management skills are required as you will be managing a small team. You'll also be happy to work on a hybrid working model and willing to travel to the offices in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Planner:
  • Analyzing market trends and implementing strategies to drive sales growth
  • Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to stay within budget
  • Researching new products and monitoring best-selling items 
  • Compiling reports on sales figures, inventory metrics, inventory count, RTV (return to vendor) process, and stock and sales weekly reports for future planning and management review 
  • Implementing and overseeing financial procedures related to inventory management
  • Facilitating new store openings, including inventory setup and operational processes
  • Maintaining detailed transaction records and strong vendor relationships 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on buying strategies, budgetary planning, and inventory management 
  • Providing guidance on pricing and product selection to support design teams and overall business objectives

Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Economics or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in IFRS and Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint), and excellent attention to detail
