EMEA Recruitment is working with an international transportation business to recruit a HR Director for its Netherlands, Germany and Belgium locations.
The organisation is focused on the evolution of its employee value proposition, developing a great culture and becoming an employer of choice.
The role is part of the management team and leads a HR function which includes HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Talent Development.
Responsibilities of HR Director:
- Establish a HR action plan, monitoring this against HR milestones
- Lead and coach a sizeable HR team
- Ensure effective execution of HR strategy across recruitment, reward, HR operations, and talent development
- Lead succession and talent management within the business
- Drive performance management processes
- Manage relationships with works councils and unions
- Support EVP project delivery
Experience required:
- Significant experience operating in a HR management role in an industry with both blue/white collar workforce
- Experience dealing with works councils/unions
- In-depth knowledge of Dutch labour law
- Strong change management expertise
- Commercially minded
- High level of resilience
- Approachable leader with a coaching style
- Fluent in Dutch and English
