Senior Accountant

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a world-renowned international retail company looking to add a Senior Accountant to their Amsterdam-based Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Ensure timely statutory reporting and audits for EU legal entities by coordinating internally and with third-party providers
• Support and review the preparation of statutory financial statements, both in-house and by third parties
• Improve processes related to statutory reporting
• Manage payroll month-end close, ensure compliance, perform variance analysis, and collaborate with FP&A and other stakeholders on various projects

Desired Experience:

• Experienced in managing stakeholders globally and overseeing the reporting cycle
• Proficient in US GAAP, Local European GAAPs
• A blended audit and industry background is preferred, with knowledge of SAP and Workiva
• Strong in advanced Excel and data analytics, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
