Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturing business with operations across North and South America, Europe and Asia, seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to join their HQ team in Amsterdam.

The business generates revenues exceeding $300 million and employs a workforce of close to 4,000 employees. This
is a fantastic opportunity to lead and grow the internal audit function. You will also work closely with the Global Director of Financial Control, CFO, and CEO, while formally reporting to the Audit Committee.

If you are an experienced Internal Auditor with hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor:
  • Conduct audits across all phases: risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, and reporting
  • Prepare and present audit reports to the Audit Committee and Senior Management
  • Develop the annual audit plan, risk assessments, and audit programs in collaboration with the Finance team
  • Identify risks, design control measures, and contribute to the group’s risk register
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, supporting various internal projects
  • Travel (approx. 20%) both domestically and internationally, with a mix of remote and onsite work

Ideal Profile:
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field
  • Professional qualifications such as RA, RO, or CPA are preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience, including 3+ years in external audit (preferably Big 4) and at least 2 years in an internal audit role within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and audit frameworks
  • Confident in navigating and influencing within a dynamic, international organisation
  • Fluent in English

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact, working alongside senior leadership to ensure the company’s ongoing success.

If this sounds like your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
