Job Description

Are you an experienced International Accounting Manager with a background in managing global accounting functions? This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, tech-driven company, offering a dynamic environment where you can have a significant impact.

Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is expanding its operations and looking for an International Accounting Manager to join their team in Amsterdam. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Accounting function for the European region. The business HQ is in the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of the accounting department for Europe, managing AP/AR, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and present, financial statements with US and Dutch GAAP or IFRS
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of customer contracts and manage the supplier contract lifecycle
  • Work closely with local accounting firms for regulatory reporting and oversee the external audit processes
  • Manage international payroll (alongside HR) and tax reporting
  • Lead a small, yet high-performing accounting team,
  • Present key financial insights to CFO/ VP Finance and senior team
  • Develop strategies for cash forecasting and management
 
Ideal Profile:
  • Business level fluency in both English and Dutch
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years + of experience in international accounting
  • CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong ERP systems, experience in NetSuite a plus
  • Strong knowledge of US and Dutch GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience within the logistics industry is preferred
