ESG Controller

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a global client in the manufacturing sector in its search for an ESG Controller to lead their Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) function in Almere.

In this role you will be responsible for leading implementation of CSRD requirements throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will be familiar with these, comfortable taking regional leadership across EMEA and be skilled in building relationships between business units. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the CSRD implementation project, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project plans
• Ensure sustainability reporting complies with CSRD requirements and other relevant regulations
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Collection and analysis of sustainability data
• Prepare comprehensive sustainability reports in accordance with CSRD Guidelines
• Develop and deliver training programs on CSRD requirements and sustainability reporting practices
• Assess and mitigate risks related to sustainability reporting and compliance

Experience Required:

• A university degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years in project management, sustainability reporting, or a related field. Experience with CSRD or similar frameworks is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of sustainability reporting standards and regulatory compliance
• Exceptional project management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English
