Head of Accounting - Exclusive

EMEA Recruitment is working with our international client in its search for a Head of Accounting to join their team in the Amsterdam area.  

In this role, you will be the anchor to the financial operations in the region, and be instrumental in the group's transition and expansion.  

The Head of Accounting will lead and manage the Accounting functions, drive the month-end and year-end close process, and manage the team’s professional development.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial reporting and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities as the Head of Accounting:

• Drive the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with international standards
• Collaborate with HQ to integrate financial strategy and operations, enhancing financial control and group reporting
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and coordinate audits, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations
• Develop financial policies and internal controls to mitigate risk and improve financial performance

Experience required:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a professional Accounting qualification
• High level of expertise and proficiency in Accounting principles and practices
• Strategic thinker with the ability to link financial management to the broader business goals of the group
• Effective communication and social skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Fluent English
