Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is excited to be hiring a Cost Controller to join a dynamic, global organization based in Amsterdam. This position plays a pivotal role in providing financial insights, driving cost efficiencies, and enhancing financial reporting to support strategic decision-making across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities of the Cost Controller:

  • Business partnering with global department heads (e.g. HR, IT, Operations, Legal) to provide financial guidance and support business strategies
  • Managing financial reporting processes, delivering clear insights to aid cost control and improve overall financial performance
  • Conducting in-depth budget analysis, identifying variances, and advising on personnel costs, technology investments, and business operating costs
  • Evaluating corporate expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Leading ad-hoc financial analysis to address operational and performance-related queries from stakeholders
  • Driving enhancements in financial planning, forecasting accuracy, and data analysis to optimize decision-making

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders with clear financial insights
  • Expertise in financial modelling, with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage complex financial projects independently
